What actually happened: right direction, wrong magnitude and timing. Price didn't hold $0.56–0.58 — it kept climbing through the run-up, peaking at $0.81 on Jul 17 (+40% above the predicted range) before Spain had even played the final. Then Spain won 1-0 in extra time on Jul 19 (Ferran Torres) and fired the campaign's largest burn (1.99M tokens) on Jul 20 — and instead of a gradual multi-day fade, price crashed 43% in a single day, from $0.73 (Jul 19) to $0.42 (Jul 20), landing below where it was trading before the whole rally started (~$0.53–0.57 in the days before the semifinal). Three related X/Twitter posts (@Chiliz, @kash_bot) were flagged but couldn't be pulled in automatically — worth adding manually if there's a specific claim in them to check against this data.
Methodology: burn/mint volumes from SonarX's Snowflake share (Chiliz Chain PRICED_TRANSFERS + TOKENS views), current-contract addresses only (legacy/pre-migration contracts excluded — those carry one-time migration burns, not match-result burns, and would badly distort the read). Price/volume from CoinGecko's public market_chart API. Baseline drift computed per-token as the mean forward return over its full available price history. Small-sample caveat: several tokens only have 2–5 weeks of price history since launch. All burns on Chiliz Chain trace back to a single confirmed treasury wallet (0x29dB56dc…f97c45df) that receives an exact-amount transfer from the treasury and burns it within minutes to hours each time — cross-checked event-for-event against chiliscan.com, which is also how 3 burns missing from the Snowflake feed (2 Argentina, 1 Portugal — some had a null token-amount field, one was absent entirely) were found and added. Argentina's Jul 13 and Spain's Jul 11 burns are on-chain but too recent for CoinGecko price history, so they're not yet in the excess-return stats above.
